Raining Cats and Dogs all the way up the coast to Kilrush, County Claire

Sitting at Crotty's, a pub that has live Irish music on a Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday but not Friday nights. Ahh well, its been a terrible driving day where we climbed the highest summit in Ireland to be met with deep, chilly mist and rain. All we could see was the bumper of the car in front of us, and only just.

Never mind we have a Guinness in hand for Marty and my new favorite drink in the world called Bulmers cider. We have decided to follow the coast line to Galway where we will be tomorrow.

Anyway the news of the day is that when we went to view the  Famine houses in Fahan an Irish man suggested to us that we review the 1911 Irish census so we could track the Arrell family.
So tonight as we sit at this pub, Marty has discovered the original census on line with all his families details, hand written in his grandmothers writing so it is quite a moment....quite a moment indeed.

The photo's depict our bleak drive, but the excitement of finding Marty's family is surreal, and we will be looking them up as soon as we can. Hope you are well.
